About Snake 98

Snake 98 is a nostalgic throwback to the glory days of dial-up internet, beige monitors, and legendary games with two colors and one goal: don't eat yourself.

Designed to look and feel like a Windows 98 desktop, this site brings back the classic Snake experience now with high scores, usernames, and a dash of retro flair.

Built using only HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. No frameworks. No BS. Just pixels, pride, and pure nostalgia.

SNAKE 98 - GAME INSTRUCTIONS

Controls:
- Use Arrow Keys to control the snake
- Space to pause/resume game
- Enter to start new game

Objective:
- Eat the food (black squares) to grow
- Avoid hitting walls
- Avoid hitting yourself
- Score points for each food eaten

Tips:
- Plan your route ahead
- Watch your tail length
- Use the full game area
- Check the leaderboard for high scores
